Samsung’s official video shows you how to apply the Galaxy Z Fold 4 key accessory found in the box

Officially, Samsung will start shipping the Galaxy Z Fold 4 (and the Galaxy Z Flip 4) next Friday or one week from today. Pricing for the phone starts at $1,799 making it an expensive device that you will want to protect at all costs. With that in mind, Samsung includes built-in protection for the 6.2-inch cover screen that it calls the Front Screen Protector. It also places an applicator in the box that allows you to apply the film “without leaving any creases or dust underneath”.
So how do you apply screen protector correctly? Samsung has released a video that is 1 minute and 23 seconds long that will walk you through the steps. Watching the video will make this important task much easier as it shows you where to place the applicator and how to use the dust collector to remove dust from the screen. And after applying the protective film to the screen, the included squeegee is used to flatten the film and to help remove a protective layer designed to be peeled off the protective layer.

The Dynamic AMOLED Coverage Display, as we noted above, weighs 6.2 inches and includes a 120Hz refresh rate. That means the screen redraws itself 120 times per second. The resolution is 904 x 2316 with an aspect ratio of 23.1:9. The external display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. The internal tablet-sized Dynamic AMOLED display is 7.6-inches with a resolution of 1812 x 2176 and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate.

Keep in mind that the Galaxy Fold 4’s inward-folding design means that when the device is closed, the internal screen gets some protection. We suggest purchasing a protective case that will save your expensive foldable from the inevitable drops it will face. While the inner screen has the aforementioned protection when the device is closed, the cover screen does not which is always vulnerable. That’s why Sammy includes the protective film in the box.

While you haven’t received your Galaxy Z Fold 4 yet, you might want to bookmark this item so it’s handy when your new foldable arrives.
