Prime Day Deal: Samsung Galaxy A53 hits lowest price ever

The Prime Early Access sale, or Prime Day 2.0 as we call it, kicked off in style with this incredible deal on the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G. This model has been slashed from its average Amazon price of £334 to its lowest ever price on the site, at an incredibly cheap £249.

And it’s not just a bargain, it’s a bargain on one of our favorite mid-range phones. We gave the Samsung Galaxy A53 five stars and our coveted Best Buy award in our original Samsung Galaxy A53 review, also calling it our favorite midrange Samsung in our roundup of the best midrange smartphones.

The Prime Day fall event is happening on 11 and October 12, so be sure to close this deal before the sale ends. Also be aware that some of the deals and discounts on offer this Prime Day will only be available for Amazon Prime Members. If you have not yet registered, you can benefit from a 30-day Amazon Prime trial and try all the benefits of the service for free. After your free trial ends, Amazon Prime will cost £8.99/month.

Originally reviewing it at its £399 launch price, we praised the A53 for its great value, noting it as a great budget alternative to mainstream models like the Samsung Galaxy S22, and going on to say that for those who want value, but don’t necessarily want to skimp on quality features and usability, the A53 is a perfect pick.

The A53 is solidly put together and feels solid to hold, despite its plastic build, and is IP-67 rated for water and dust protection. Like the S22, the A53 has a 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, with a slightly larger screen size of 6.5 inches. Internally, the phone is well-equipped, with an Exynos 1280 chipset running 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Apart from the above specs, the two areas where the A53 stood out for us were battery life and the camera. The phone’s 5000mAh battery excelled in the tests, lasting just under 22 hours in our standard loop video test, with the 25W fast charging taking the phone from 0-50% in just thirty-five minutes in a load test. For a mid-range phone, the A53’s quad-camera setup is capable of capturing crisp, well-detailed images, with portraits being one of the areas where it performs best.

With all that praise being showered on the phone despite it costing £400, you can see why we’re amazed to see all the same functionality and value now available for under £250. It’s one of the best deals this Prime Day, so we’d advise anyone looking for a new phone to act fast.
