Details of the high-end Galaxy S23 Ultra have started to appear online. A new report now claims that Samsung has confirmed Galaxy S23 Ultra camera details with its major camera partners. Let’s take a look at the known Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra specs, features and other details so far.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 200MP Camera

Samsung may soon join the league of smartphone companies to launch devices with a 200MP after the launch of the Galaxy S23 Ultra next year. The Galaxy S23 series is expected to launch in January or February 2023. We are still a few months away from launch but the rumor mill has already started reporting some leaks. According to the latest leak, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is confirmed to have a 200MP sensor. Samsung reportedly confirmed the news with its major camera partners, who will manufacture parts for the camera setup.

Motorola’s X30 Pro, which will be launched globally as Moto Edge 30 Ultra, is the first smartphone to feature a 200MP camera sensor. The phone uses Samsung’s HP1 sensor. Xiaomi is also expected to launch the 12T Pro globally with a 200MP HP1 sensor. It’s unclear if the Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature the same sensor.

In a separate report, it was revealed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Max fingerprint scanning sensor. The same fingerprint scanning technology has been seen in the iQOO 9 Pro and Vivo X80 Pro. It offers a large swipe sensor under the screen, which is also among the fastest to unlock the phone. It is unclear whether the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus would also benefit from the same fingerprint scanning technology.

All three phones would also feature Qualcomm’s next Snapdragon flagship, which could be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. More details on the Galaxy S23 series will be shared as they become available.
