Proactively promote social harmony and inclusion
April 11, 2022 – maintain its philosophy that “what is taken from the community should be used for the good of the community”, over the years, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has kept its promise by supporting different social groups through various means and spreading care throughout the community. To echo World Autism Awareness Day and promote respect and acceptance of autism in the Macau community, GEG recently supported the Macau Autism Association (“MAA”) during its inauguration “World Autism Awareness Day 2022“ Campaign, with its first activity, the Fluid Painting Exhibition with Workshop held on the Broadway Mezzanine Macau™. In order to facilitate community exchanges, GEG also invited members of the GEG volunteer team to participate in the workshop with their children, allowing them to deepen their parent-child relationship through the arts and teach by example what constitutes inclusion and social life. harmony.
In addition to 80 fluid paintings created by MAA members and their families, the exhibit also featured six works of art co-created by MAA members and GEG volunteers in last year’s inclusive arts and crafts workshops. During the event, GEG volunteers joined the exhibit to discover the unique artistry of people with autism and to gain insight into their inner world. In addition, GEG volunteers also attended a sharing by Mr. Lam Io Fai, Director General of MAA, on skills and experiences of communicating with people with autism to better understand them and learn how to engage with them in different situations. Through these activities, GEG hopes to attract volunteers‘ raising awareness and support for autistic people, and advocating the spirit of caring and inclusion. In addition, GEG also organized volunteers and their children to participate in the fluid painting workshop, during which they created unique artworks with creativity and enjoyed a warm parent-child moment.
Mrs Mok, one of the participating volunteers said, “I am happy to experience fluid painting with my child and have this opportunity to further enhance our interaction and family bonding. The activity also helped us learn more about autism and the needs of people with autism, cultivate empathy in our children, and promote a caring culture among young people. generation.“

corporate social responsibilities and establish a benevolent network with different sectors to facilitate the sustainable development of the local community.
