The Samsung Galaxy S22 is the only phone in the world to support Vo5G networks. Here are all the details.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 holds another world record right now! The entire Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra are currently the only smartphones in the world that support Vo5G technology. Yes, the Galaxy S22 series currently supports Voice Over 5G technology which claims to improve call quality in supported areas. Vo5G technology is essentially a successor to the VoLTE functionality that most 4G smartphones come as standard these days.
Vo5G technology has come online in Kuwait as Zaid Kuwait, a network operator in the country, rolled out the feature for supported devices. Only the Galaxy S22 series supports Vo5G technology, thus allowing users to take advantage of this new technology. Similar to VoLTE, this feature should improve call quality when connected to a 5G network.

Galaxy S22 can now host Vo5G calls
It is surprising to learn that despite a shower of 5G smartphones in various markets, only the Samsung Galaxy S22 series supports this feature. Even the iPhone 13 series does not support this feature yet.
What can Vo5G offer customers? Simply put, it will do exactly the same thing VoLTE did a few years ago – improve call quality. With Vo5G, telecommunications companies will be able to offer their customers ultra HD voice quality in voice calls. This should help with the call experience.
Although Samsung is the only one supporting this feature, we may see more phones getting this feature in the coming months. Similar to VoLTE support, most manufacturers will be able to deploy it with a software update. Since India has yet to see 5G networks, we might get the feature in a few years.
The Galaxy S22 series is also making news lately in other areas. These phones have now beaten Google’s Pixel devices to get the latest June security patch. Additionally, the Galaxy S22 series has also proven extremely popular in the Indian market, with the flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra leading the sales charts.
Things could change over the next few months as both Samsung and Apple have new products in the high-end smartphone space to play with. Samsung will kick off the launch season in August with Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices. Apple will follow it with its iPhone 14 series devices, which would include iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
