MACAU, Oct. 7 – The 2022 Galaxy Entertainment Macau International Marathon, jointly organized by the Sports Bureau and the Macau General Athletic Association, and title sponsored by Galaxy Entertainment Group, will be held on Dec. 4. Registration will be open from 9:00 a.m. on October 8 (Saturday) for the marathon and half-marathon categories, and from 9:00 a.m. on October 9 (Sunday) for the mini-marathon category. The places available for this year’s event include 1,400 for the marathon, 4,800 for the half-marathon and 5,800 for the mini-marathon. Registration will be closed when all places are filled.
Easy and practice everything-Online registration
In accordance with the development of e-governance as promoted by the Macao SAR Government, potential participants can register on the official event website www.macaomarathon.com, or through the newly implemented method of the “Macao Marathon” mobile application.
All potential participants must have a personal online registration account with the Macau International Marathon. Participants without an online account can create a new one. After successfully opening an account, participants can log into the system for online registration during the registration period. Participants with an existing account should prepare their personal information, including an electronic copy of their ID and Macau General Athletics Association membership card for the current year (if applicable) for registration. Participants who have already opened their personal account online but have forgotten their username and password can reset their password. Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay, MPay, BOC Mobile Banking, UnionPay Online Pay, WeChat Pay China and Alipay China are accepted for payment of the registration fee.
In addition, the active group trophies will again be awarded to the school, sports association, government-registered organization, public and private entities with the highest number of participants completing the mini-marathon. . Interested parties wishing to compete for the trophies should download a separate registration form from the event website, complete the form with the names and identification document numbers of all successfully registered participants and submit the form. to the Sports Office via email at macaomarathon@sport.gov.mo or in person by October 21.
Participants must complete COVID-19 vaccination and present proof of negative test result
All participants must have completed two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days in advance (i.e. before November 20) before the race. Entrants are also required to make their own arrangements for COVID-19 nucleic acid testing and present proof of a valid negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test result (including race day) prior to to be allowed to participate in the race.
In addition, all participants must comply with Macau SAR Law No. 2/2004 – “Law for the Prevention, Control and Treatment of Infectious Diseases”, and pay attention to and cooperate with anti-pandemic measures. and government quarantine requirements upon entry to Macau.
Participants will be able to pick up the bib, timing chip and information document at the H/F Broadway Macau, between November 27 and December 3, upon presentation of their registration receipt, ID and proof of vaccination.
