MACAU, Oct 17 – WTT Champions Macau 2022 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, hosted by Macau SAR Government Sports Bureau and World Table Tennis (WTT) and co-hosted by Macau General Table Tennis Association , will be held at Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion from October 19 to 23, 2022. The star-studded selection of the world’s best table tennis players arrived in Macau today.
The event features world famous table tennis players including: Fan Zhendong, Ma Long, Sun Yingsha and Chen Meng from China; Tomokazu Harimoto and Mima Ito from Japan; Hugo Calderano from Brazil; Doo Hoi Kem from Hong Kong, China; and Adriana Díaz from Puerto Rico. They will show off their spectacular skills to table tennis fans and compete for the men’s and women’s singles titles.
The first two days (October 19 and 20) will include the round of 16. The round of 16 will take place on October 21. The quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place on October 22, and the finals will take place from 6:00 p.m. on October 23.
Limited tickets are on sale and can be purchased at MacauTicket.com, over the phone, or at Kong Seng outlets and mainland sales offices, or at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion during match days. Ticket holders are reminded that entry to the venue begins one hour before the start of the first match of the day. Online ticket holders can collect their tickets at the ticket office, located in the lobby of the Multisport Tap Seac Pavilion, from two hours before the first game of the day. Upon collection, ticket holders are required to present their receipt and registered ID for ticket purchase. If a representative is collecting tickets on behalf of the ticket holder, they must present their own ID, the receipt, a copy of the ticket holder’s ID, and written authorization from the ticket holder. All of the above documents must be presented before ticket holders or representatives are permitted to collect tickets.
To ensure that the event can be held under safe conditions, anti-epidemic measures will be implemented during the event as required by the Macao SAR government. All spectators must undergo body temperature checks, scan the venue code, present the Macau health code and wear face masks upon entering the venue. VIP Courtside ticket holders are required to undergo self-arranged nucleic acid testing and present a valid 48-hour negative test result upon entry to the venue. The organizers will continue to closely monitor the epidemic status and make arrangements for epidemic prevention during the event in accordance with relevant guidelines issued by the Health Bureau.
