MOTG presents High Country Chimes and The Soul Galaxy

MARIPOSE — Mariposa County Arts Council music on the green continues its free summer concerts this weekend with High Country Chimes on Friday July 1 and The Soul Galaxy on Saturday July 2.

High Country Chimes are based on Tuolumne County and embrace California’s acoustic folk revival sound. With a variety of voices, acoustic guitars and those of Mariposa, Jared Jesperson on the mandolin.

July 2, one of Mariposa’s most beloved bands The Soul Galaxy take the stage. It’s a hard-hitting blues rock trio with guitar master Tim Hager, former LA studio drummer Jon Kiddand from the Central Valley, Charles Green on electric bass.

Gratuities to interpreters will be solicited, encouraged and appreciated.

All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise stated) at Mariposa County Art Park, located on the highway. 140 between 4th and 5th Streets in historic downtown Mariposa, California.

Parking is available along 5th Street. The lower 5th Street parking lot provides an accessible pedestrian path to Arts Park through the Mariposa Creek Boardwalk hall.
