Samsung is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy Buds 2 today. It’s currently the latest iteration of the company’s wireless earbuds. Even though they were launched last year, Samsung has yet to release a successor to the Galaxy Buds 2.

It’s great to see that the company continues to improve the features offered by its latest wireless headphones. The latest Galaxy Buds 2 update which is rolling out today brings a feature that has been sorely missed on this device: 360-degree audio.

New Galaxy Buds 2 update brings a cool feature

Latest Galaxy Buds 2 update rolls out carriers firmware version today R177XXU0AVC8. It comes in at around 3MB and the official changelog mentions that it brings a few new features.

Chief among them is the 360-degree audio feature that we’ve seen on the Galaxy Buds Pro before. This feature provides a “theater-like” sound experience as the user is essentially able to sense which direction the sound is coming from.

Today’s update also improves call quality. It will be a welcome addition. Even though the Galaxy Buds 2 offer much better call quality than its predecessor, it’s still nice to see this crucial feature improved even further. Finally, Bluetooth connectivity and stability have been improved to provide a better user experience.

This Galaxy Buds 2 update is already available in select markets. Needless to say, it’s only a matter of time before the update makes its way across the globe. Those who own a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 should soon see an update notification appear on their device.
