Priced at $279 (or $329 for the LTE model), the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is proof that Samsung has truly found its footing in the smartwatch space. It’s not a massive configuration of its predecessor, but its incremental upgrades are still much appreciated and help make it the most desirable Galaxy Watch to date. New features range from increased battery life to a more durable sapphire crystal display. Additionally, the lower curvature has been reshaped to fit your wrist more comfortably, and this redesign also has the added benefit of improving its sensor readings as well.
Users who want to get the most out of their wearable will want to consider the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. This is the first time a Galaxy Watch has launched with a Pro model, and Samsung is fully committed to the concept. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro costs $449 ($499 for LTE), but offers double battery life, a more durable design, and dedicated GPS tools. Going Pro isn’t necessary for casual users, but smartwatch savants will want to seriously consider upgrading.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is available in Graphite, Silver, Sapphire, and Rose Gold, while the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is available in Titanium Black or Titanium Gray. Both models of the notebook are water resistant up to 5 ATM with an IP68 rating.
